CHEEKY GOAT
COFFEE
A Crazy Start
On our wall, you’ll find a mural telling the story of Kaldi, the Ethiopian goat herder who discovered coffee when his goats ate the beans and went wild. That’s where our journey began, originally as Crazy Goat Coffee, fuelled by a love for specialty coffee and the joy it brings.

We wanted to bring a true specialty coffee experience to Petts Wood, working with top-tier roasters and using the best equipment to make every cup exceptional. Our La Marzocco espresso machine and Mahlkönig E65S grinder are the heart of our setup, ensuring each coffee is brewed to perfection. But that's only part of it.
We created a space where everyone feels welcome, whether you’re after a quiet moment, a catch-up with friends, or a place to work without the pressure to keep ordering. With a simple, wholesome menu, homemade treats, and a warm, relaxed atmosphere, we built somewhere people (and their dogs) could belong. After a few months, including thousands of espresso shots and enough sourdough to build a small fort, something wasn't right...

...maybe we weren't crazy after all?
As much as we loved our wild origins, "Crazy" Goat didn’t fully capture who we are or where we’re headed. We needed a change - one that reflected our relaxed vibe, smooth brews, and friendly personalities - without losing any of what our customers loved.

A Cheeky new chapter
We shed our crazy coat for a name that feels more ‘us’ - but our passion for great coffee, wholesome food, and community is as strong as ever. Under our new name, Cheeky Goat Coffee, we continue to serve top-quality brews, feature rare and unique guest roasts, and host events that bring people together.

Uzay, also known as the 'Mother of Goats,' is at the heart of it all. She and her husband Mark share a deep love for warm hospitality and a commitment to quality. Their experience running Madisons in Bromley, one of London’s highest-rated restaurants, shaped their passion for creating inviting spaces where people feel at home. From the curated background music to the hanging plants and art on our walls (including hand-drawn goats), every detail has been considered to make this a space where you can truly belong

We also keep things local wherever possible, sourcing fresh ingredients and baking in-house alongside artisan suppliers. From morning lattes to cheese and wine nights, there’s always something brewing at Cheeky Goat Coffee.
